A site visit will allow us to understand your properties unique ecological qualities.  What do you want to have happen on your property? What problems are you having now? Do you have only lawn or perhaps shrubs, trees, and flowers?  Which weeds are growing on your land. Which animals live on your property?  Birds? cats? bees?  bats?  What are the human activities that happen there? Do you have pests? What about soil drainage issues? Is your soil sandy or full of clay or neither? We will perform a soil compaction test to determine if and where your soil is compacted. Our aim is understand the existing relationship between the above ground and below ground ecosystems of your land.

SOIL TEST

A living soil ecosystem is a balanced community of many players. We will perform a microscopic analysis of your soil organism populations and we will provide you with a data sheet that includes specific numbers and general diversity levels of all the essential soil organisms. Bio mass numbers for bacteria and fungi will be provided as well as numerical counts of flagellates, amoebae, cilliates, nematodes, protozoans, and micro arthropods. In addition we will tell you if we find any potential plant pathogens and and/or detrimental soil organisms. With this information we will be able to add the micro organisms that your soil needs to regenerate itself.

ACTION PLAN

After a thorough site assessment and a microscope test , together we will chart a course of action so that you can quickly begin to see results.  Our tools are simple yet powerful. We use our own specifically designed healthy composts and compost products such as microbial soil drenches, and sprayed foliar compost teas.  Our compost products are not fertilizers per se, they are  rather the vehicle for delivering the specific microbes with which both you and your plants have a symbiotic relationship. We then monitor the soil health over time to be certain that all the players are thriving and doing their jobs.  We may add further amounts of organisms as the need arises.  In the beginning it is usually important  to break up any compaction layers we find as compaction does not allow soil to become fully healthy.

The beneficial results of a healthy landscape are too numerous to describe. Most people are happy that the deeper roots of their grass and other plants mean less watering on their part. They find that even without watering, their lawns can remain a vibrant green even during a prolonged summer drought.
